• Where can I sign up for a Growth Group?

You can sign up for a Growth Group at the church or you can email leaders Ray and Mary Batt at raymaryb15@hotmail.com

    Can I bring my kids?

Group members are responsible to arrange child care for their children, unless the house is designated for children to attend.

What will I need to bring?

Bring your Bible, a notebook, and a pen or pencil.

    What will we be studying?

Sermon based Growth Groups will focus on the same topic covered in the previous Sunday’s sermon topic. Take notes and be ready to share and ask questions! The Prayer Boot Camp and SALO classes provide a more in-depth approach to the specific areas of prayer and learning how to hear God's voice and have their own materials.

    Will there be homework?

This is a commitment to attend each week and to do the homework ahead of time.

The purpose of homework isn't to give you busy work, but to help you get the most out of your learning by providing opportunities to grow during the week.

What are the expectations for attendance?

Attend as much as you can!

Of course, allowances are made for: Sickness, vacation, work conflicts and other special events.

GOALS OF GROWTH GROUPS

PURPOSE

Groups exist to promote spiritual maturity and personal growth through meaningful Christian relationships and study of God’s Word (Romans 8:29 and Hebrews 10:24-25). We’ll do this by focusing on four primary activities:

1. SHARE

Each week we will take time to share what is happening in our lives. At first this sharing will include sharing questions. But after the first few weeks, it will become more informal and personal as we feel more comfortable as our bonds grow closer.

2. STUDY

Each week we will study a section from God’s Word that relates to the previous weekend’s sermon and/or personal growth topic from the image in the sermon. Our goal is to live our “Christian walk” as an everyday thing.

3. SUPPORT

Each week we will learn how to take care of one another as Christ commanded us to do so (John 15:9-13). This can be done is a few ways: prayer, encouragement, listening, meeting for coffee, challenging one another and being accountable.

4. SERVE

Spiritual Growth is not only gained by wisdom and care support, but also through service to others. The role each of us fills is important to the health of the Church and for us to be the hands and feet in the community (Ephesians 4:11-16).
